Primary center
One primary center must assume ultimate responsibility for the program, as described in the program center Requirements, and this responsibility extends to fellow assignments at all participating sites.
The program must be located within the Department or Division of Neurology,with mandatory interdisciplinary collaboration with neurosurgery and Neuroradiology setup
Participating centers
İn certain situation , for fulfilling the traininig requirments , some training segments are available in other centers. So fellow of certain program will complete training in one of them ; called participating centers. Fellow movement inbetween this centers may be beyond national borders ; in what called as exchange program (refer to 2nd and 3rd tracks )
There must be a Participating Center -program letter of agreement (PC-PLA) between the program and each participating site providing a required assignment. The PLA must be renewed at least every five years
The PC-PLA should
· identify the faculty who will assume both educational and supervisory responsibilities for fellows, in the participating center
· specify their responsibilities for teaching, supervision, and formal evaluation of fellows in that participating center
· specify the duration and content of the educational experience the target segment of training
Program director
Should be a senior vascular neurologists for track one and senior neurointerventionalist for track 2 & 3 who is gained endorsed Level IV MENA-SINO-certified
Responsible for ensuring the program meets requirements and is actively involved in accreditation
Supervise faculty members, participate in selection of trainees
Participate in Continuous Medical Education (CME) or Continuous Professional Development Activities (CPDA)
Faculty
must be a sufficient number of faculty with documented (with ratio up to 1 for each 2 trainees ).
physician faculty must have current certification in the subspecialty by the vascular neurology board of the country or American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for track 1 or Interventional Neuroradiology , endovascular neurosurgery or interventional neurology Boards of the country for track 2 and 3 , or possess qualifications judged acceptable to the MENA-SINO Review Committee.
Number of trainees in a program
The program’s educational resources must be adequate to support the number of fellows appointed to the program.
Eligibility requirements
1-Eligibility by requirements:
Prior to appointment in the program, fellows must have successfully completed an accredited residency in the country of fellowship or ACGME-accredited program in neurology, neurosurgery , neuroradiology .
2-Eligibility by exception:
MENA-SINO ACT Committee may grant the exception to the fellowship eligibility requirements: like in
fellowship program may accept an exceptionally qualified applicant who has (1) completed a non-ACGME-accredited residency program or other equivalent national program accepted by MENA-SINO review committee in the core specialty, and (2) demonstrated clinical excellence, in comparison to peers, throughout training. Additional evidence of exceptional qualifications is required, which may include one of the following: (a) participation in additional clinical or research training in the specialty or subspecialty; (b) demonstrated scholarship in the specialty or subspecialty; (c) demonstrated leadership during or after residency training; (d) completion of an ACGME-International-accredited residency program or other national equivalent program accepted by MENA-SINO REVIEW COMMITTEE. ), and who does not satisfy the eligibility requirements listed above. but who does meet all of the following additional qualifications and conditions:
A-Assessment by the program director and fellowship selection committee of the applicant’s suitability to enter the program, based on prior training and review of the summative evaluations of training in the core specialty
B-Review and approval of the applicant’s exceptional qualifications by MENA-SINO ACT review committee or other equivalent national body identified by MENA-SINO review committee
C-Applicants accepted by this exception must complete fellowship Milestones evaluation (for the purposes of establishment of baseline performance by the Clinical Competency Committee), conducted by the receiving fellowship program within six weeks of matriculation. This evaluation may be waived for an applicant who has completed an ACGME International-accredited residency based on the applicant’s Milestones evaluation conducted at the conclusion of the residency program or other accepted equivalent program by MENA-SINO review committee

Curriculum Organization and Fellow Experiences should regularly/periodically evaluated and reported especially for didactic content acquisition and clinical experience gaining of the fellow
Scholar
The fellow should :-
· gain basic principles of evidence-based medicine and research, including how research is conducted, evaluated, explained to patients, and applied to patient care.
· participate in scholarly activity under the mentorship of program faculty members
· Fellows should receive support to attend one regional, national, or international professional conference during the program
